Her recent work focuses on Alaska education policy, including teacher preparation and turnover, postsecondary transitions, and high school graduation. Tran holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Oregon State University. Her research includes workforce development pathways and postsecondary transitions, and k-12 teacher preparation including teacher supply, demand, and turnover. Much of Dayna’s recent work is situated in Alaska, and she is interested in the rural and cultural context for education policy. She holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from New Mexico State University.
