Amy Walker is a PhD candidate and the Ruth G. Strickland fellow in literacy, culture, and language education at Indiana University. Her dissertation research examines the multiliteracies of White and transnational Latinx youth as activists in the rural Rust Belt region. She also researches school-community partnerships around issues of immigration policy and advocacy in rural areas. A first-generation college student and rural resident, Amy is a former English and ESL public school educator.
