Darold H. Joseph, PhD, is Hopi from the village of Moenkopi of the Hopi tribe and representative of the Paa’Iswunga (Water-Coyote Clan). He is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Specialties in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University. His research, teaching, and service aim to advance opportunities for Indigenous youth with and without disabilities to persist in education through a lens of resilience, and by leveraging cultural assets to address educational inequities.
