Ian M. Mette is an associate professor of educational leadership at the University of Maine where he is the program coordinator for the educational leadership program. Dr. Mette has been a teacher and an administrator, and he has lived and worked in rural communities for most of his life. His research interests include rural educational leadership development, educational supervision, and the merging of theory and practice to best support schools in rural communities.
