Dr. Nidza Marichal is a research associate at the University of Florida, disseminating research in the context of Latinx/English Learners (ELs) education while supporting rural educators in their work with Latinx students and families. She received a BS from Yale University, and MA and PhD degrees from the University of Florida. Her research topics include multilingual/bilingual education, ELs, teacher education, teacher knowledge, secondary and rural EL education, and the U.S. Puerto Rican experience.
