Dr. Raisa Ankeny is an associate professor of education and director of La Casa Cultural Latina at Stetson University in Deland, Florida. She earned her PhD in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in TESOL and bilingual education from New Mexico State University. Her research focuses on teacher education and preparation to work with English language learners, language policy for bilingual students, and dual-language program implementation.
