Xiao Li, assistant professor at Xiamen University, China, completed a PhD in sociology (2022) and a master’s degree in statistics (2021) at Washington State University. Her research focuses on the rural/non-rural differences in youth status attainment trajectories, pathways, and outcomes in the United States and China. She is interested in applying the spatial and life course perspectives to analyzing inequalities in youth status attainment, women’s workplace experiences, and racial/ethnic inequality in health. Most of her research adopts quantitative methodology, using both R and Stata.
